Bent not Broken
This is an image that I captured, during a Day Trip to Mackinac Island, which is located It is located in Lake Huron, at the eastern end of the Straits of Mackinac, between the state’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas and northwest of Round Island. In this picture are two trees that sit near the shoreline of the island. Each shows how they have been affected by wind and weather conditions that control it’s environment. As you continue to look deeper into the picture, you’ll notice that the land bends to the left and right of the picture, and you will also notice that there are two people who are bending over collecting rocks, shells and who know what else. I wanted to capture this mundane images to illustrate how a 3 color scene, shot during a day of Lake Huron heavy fog, can provide a haunting, powerful, yet calming and hopeful feel for the viewer.
