During my vacation in Puerto Rico, I had the extraordinary opportunity to capture the beauty of a Japanese Freshwater Crab in its habitat. While preparing to leave our beach front hotel to venture out into San Juan’s local activities, I stumbled upon this fascinating creature as it was hanging out under some of the tropical foliage, its vibrant colors shimmering as the sunlight contacted it. With careful precision, I seized the moment to immortalize this rare encounter, capturing the intricate details of its red and brownish colored shell and delicate movements across the hotel’s courtyard’s garden’s red mulch. This serendipitous encounter not only allowed me to document the stunning diversity of wildlife on the island but also provided a cherished memory of my unforgettable vacation.
